* CHER IN 1970, BTS OF THE SONNY & CHER SHOW*
BOB MACKIE EAT YOUR HEART OUT.
The Goddess of Pop once said "Mother told me a couple of years ago, 'sweetheart, settle down and marry a rich man.' I said 'Mom, I am a rich man'.”
So, of course Cher is one of our muses.
Starting from her days in the Sonny and Cher show, Cher has always knocked it out of the ball park style wise.
She has also dominated in the male run world of music and films, generating praise not for her good looks and fashion forward style but for her downright talent.
She didn't need a man or her looks to become an icon.
In saying that, her long dark hair and stunning features don't hurt the image but Cher was the first to bring sparkles, skin and DRAMA to her outfits.
With the help of designer Bob Mackie, Cher created the most iconic looks of all time that inspire designers, models, actors and us little tigers over here to bring out our inner show girl.
The confidence Cher has in her outfit choices is the confidence we want in the pieces we create.
Yes it is risky, but if we bring out a little bit of Cher in you then we have done our job.
Cher transforms herself with ease and while everyone is inspired by her 1974 Met Gala nude, sparkled and feathered outfit. We also look to her years with Gregg Allman from the Allman Brothers Band ( google the wedding photo's) ,and the 500 outfit changes in the Sonny and Cher show for constant inspo.
Cher is the OG of wearing a cowboy hat, turquoise statement jewels, long jet black hair and full stomach exposure.
Cher is...well, she's fucking Cher, she knows who she is, what she likes and how she wants to be seen.
May we all find that confidence in today's age where every tiny thing is analysed and ridiculed.
May we also enjoy dressing up again, no we are not going to the Met Gala but it's fun to channel your inner sex pistol for a night out. Jeans and t-shirts are great but we miss the fun of glamour.
We want everyone to wear their confidence on their sleeve and feel like a knock out whenever they enter the room.
It's all in the confidence ladies, having Bob Mackie making your clothes would also help but it is of our opinion that our Iggy dress will do just fine.
Now lets get to the important question...do you believe in life after love?
